Submission + - nVidia improving Optimus support in Linux (engadget.com)

geek writes: nVidia software engineer Aaron Plattner divulged his work on improved Optimus support to a developer listserv. Seemingly in answer to criticism by Linus Torvalds regarding the bad relations nVidia has with the kernel developers. Plattner has created a working proof of concept with a driver. Does this improve the relationship nVidia has with Linux developers? That remains to be seen but it's definitely a step in the right direction.
