What I would like to see in iOS is support for USB web cams, to allow better cameras than the internal ones when doing FaceTime and Zoom videocalls. It's esp needed for low light conditions.
I'm looking into creating a dumb-as-nails video conferencing device for a technophobic relative and I've whittled it down to putting an Android or Apple tablet on a floor stand. Android has better camera support but you lose FaceTime, Apple has FaceTime but you only get the not as good front facing cameras with no options for anything else.
I've discounted SmartScreens because they are siloed, they won't work with each other's services, ie echo show won't work with google meet, and that if you're not looking for a digital assistant, the voice control can be hard to use. A TV based approach has been discounted by the need to changing the input is confusing for the relative.
That is interesting indeed. I also wonder what used Mac Minis will go for. I expect their price will lower, just because the new ARM-based Mac Minis are so powerful.
If I had only known, I would have been a locksmith.
