An anonymous reader writes "According to the Intel Blog the Quake 4: Raytraced project has been ported to a version of an Ultra Mobile PC. The tiny device with only a 1.2 GHz single core CPU can run the real-time raytraced demo that was previously shown running on an 8-Core machine. This is possible because the resolution requirements on a small 4.5 inch screen are much lower and ray tracing scales lineary in the frame rate with the number of pixels to calculate. Could this technology become interesting for the next generation of Sony's PSP or the next Nintendo handheld?"
