tramp (68773) writes "The National Security Agency is gathering nearly 5 billion records a day on the whereabouts of cellphones around the world, according to top-secret documents and interviews with U.S. intelligence officials, enabling the agency to track the movements of individuals — and map their relationships — in ways that would have been previously unimaginable.

Of course it is "only metadata" and absolutely not invading privacy if you ask our "beloved" NSA."

Silly... if you ask any of the TLAs you do not get an answer you might get a deeper inspection.

That dream where you were whisked off to some surgery for an a deep inspection
was not a dream. It was Propofol mixed with Rohypnol, clonazepam and alprazolam.
Also just enough illegal heroin and cocaine to safely cause you to fail a drug test.

With meta data and modern math they might as well have three men with three little
notebooks tracking each and every one of us 24/7. Those that understand the math
have a clue but congress, the courts and yes the executive office of all nations with
the possible exception of Israel do not understand how well this stuff works.
