Zothecula (1870348) writes "With the creation of new citizen science website Planet Four, planetary scientists are turning to the general public for help in analyzing images of the surface of Mars, many of which have never been seen before. It's hoped that the public's input will help develop a detailed picture of winds on the planet."

  • this might cause all kinds of problems
    if
    the data is in the jpg2000 format the the hirise site uses
    http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/ [arizona.edu]

    they might want to convert them to VICAR or isis3 cub format , or better yer the PDS ( img & lbl ) format
    http://pds.jpl.nasa.gov/ [nasa.gov]

    that way if you can use the software to read the data then one is , at least, mostly qualified to interpret the data
