judgecorp writes "Public sector workers in Britian this week are staying home in Operation Stepchange. This military-sounding exercise is a teleworking trial, designed to check the government's readiness for predicted transport and Internet chaos surrounding the London Olympics Some critics say this is an over-the-top approach, as working from home is not exactly rocket science. Others see somethng more sinister — could the real agenda be readiness for chemical attacks or dirty bombs?"
