Diggester writes "According to a report published today, an Italian judge has refused Samsung's request to ban iPhone 4S sales in the country. Earlier this month, the Korean electronics giant filed a patent-violation claim in France and Italy to block sales of the newly launched smartphone by Apple.

However, the court has now ordered to submit more information regarding this claim before the next hearing which is scheduled to be held on December 16. The iPhone 4S' launch in 21 more countries (including Italy) on Friday will now go ahead as planned."
